Wizuda are excited to announce that Mike Ross, former Ireland and Leinster Rugby professional will join our senior management team in early June as Commercial Director for Ireland. In a media announcement this week, Mike shared the news of his retirement from professional rugby, following an impressive on pitch career which featured 61 Ireland and 151 Leinster caps.
Mike’s role with Wizuda, will primarily focus on developing the company’s Irish customer portfolio for their Compliant Data Transfer and File Sharing solutions in advance of the impending General Data Protection Legislation (GDPR) in May 2018.
Speaking about Mike’s move to Wizuda, Brendan Rogan – CEO commented, ‘Mike has a keen interest in technology combined with a thirst for knowledge on innovative solutions to emerging problems. GDPR is coming down the track fast and Irish businesses require solutions to ensure they are fully prepared in advance of May 2018. I know Mike will be a great asset to the Wizuda team’.
Mike will commence his role in Wizuda following the completion of the 2017 rugby season. Commenting on his new appointment, Mike said, ‘The whole area of data protection is set to change dramatically over the next 12 months. I feel like now is the ideal time to be taking on this position with Wizuda who really are ahead of the game and have developed a solution to what is a very real and important problem for business in Ireland and globally. This is a new challenge for me and one I fully intend on embracing.’
The team at Wizuda would like to extend a warm welcome to Mike and look forward to having him on board.
